5 newbie questions, please help :)

Hi everyone, im new to the game, started 2 days ago and i have 5 noob questions:

- I've seen in youtube videos that Portugal (my country ) has Lisbon (capital) and Porto (city). In my game i only have Lisbon. Why?

- Why Bombers dont conquer citys? I always have to send air transports with tanks or infantry to get them .

- I basically can't defend myself, even using Perfect Defense strategy and a bunch of infantry. For example i conquered all Europe and had like 20 infantry in Berlin. A guy from asia attacked me with 80 bombers and some infantry and bum!, lost the capital and lost the game -.-

- I awlays get most continet in my games and money is not a problem. The problem is, i dont have units XD In one game i had the entire America and like 10.000 gold to spend. But very little units ( i lost them while i expand and i cant get them back fast). The other guys from europe attacked my capital and bum, another lost game. You see my problem? I get the continents but loose the games with 1 or 2 attacks to my capital, every singe time... I'm the richest one but awlays loose because i dont have units And how can they get so many units to attack me XD ?

- To move around fast i awlays have to buy air transport and 6 tanks but it really costs a lot, is there other way to move units fast and spend less?

Sorry for the big post but i really loved this game and want to be a better player.

1. It is the difference between a normal game and the game Option 100 cities +

2. Because the Devs want it so ;-) And Bombers are strong enought (Submarines can't take citys too)

3. if you want to defend a citx, try to have at least 1vs1 so if the enemy is there with 80 Bombers, you should have 80 infantry to defend, some more or less depending on you and your opponents Strategies

4. Thats something i cant understand

5. a fast expansion is important, expanding to fast with too much transport will ruin your economy. try to expand with your primary Troops (Tank Gerenal->Tanks, Sky menace -> Bombers and so on) and use transport when you have a good income or for important Citys

I think the units problem here is, you haven't learned that you can buy new units. After every 4 weeks you get to buy new units to your cities, so that would mean week 1, 5, 9 etc. That should always keep you with units to protect yourself with. Otherwise ... i have no idea.

I know i can buy every 4 weeks. But my problem is really the number of units. For example imagine that i start a game and i start conquering America. After some turns i controll all America but guess what? All the units i spent expanding got killed and another player simply attacks my capital with a huge number of tanks and wins -.- It doenst matter if i controll all the world and have lots of money if i dont have units defending my capital.


Another example is when i use Perfect Defense. I just keep making Infantry but that way how do i expand?? While other players start conquering new territory i have to wait 4 weeks to keep calling infantry? What do i do untill then? Just wait to call more infantry? I dont get the point of this strategy. Using the Tank General is exactly the oposite, i conquer everything but how do i defend myself?

With PD expand with Tanks, marines, Bombers, depending on your cash, and after turn 4 you should have some Inf in reserve or when there is an agressiv oponent, even spamm Inf.

With Tank general, defend by attacking enemy stacks. Wall your Citys and intercept any incoming force or be so aggrassiv that the enemy is not able to attack

Enemy must be kept under constant threat in order to succeed with some strategies. And you don't have to use all your units to attack in places.
Just use the ones you know you'll need to take another cap/city and use the other reserves for defending, when you feel like it.

1.The admins aren't changing the unit reinf for the cities because they're based on real world numbers. Your problem is that you spend all your units expanding and have no left for defending. Always leave like 10-15 infantry in your capital and never move those so you can keep your capital.
2.You use your infantry to attack, but leave a small portion of your infantry in each city.
Attack city>Make more infantry in the city>Move half of the infantry to new city
That way you'll always have a little bit of infantry defending.

By that time my opponents already have 6 or 7 more territories and are sending 30 and 40 units to my capital, in 2 to 3 turns. How are they doing that? What am I doing that is so wrong?

Better expansion, Ukraine can take a lot of countries

Their countries probably had more reinforcements than your. Did you picked czech republic and your enemy was germany? because that would explain the case quite well.

Honestly, it doesn't seem to matter what countries, it's a common thing. I have done a little research on some links that were sent to me and it's getting a little better. I seem to have a better understanding but, I will still take all of the advice and knowledge that anyone can give. I appreciate the help, guys.
