Attacks not being executed.

Game is "ViSiONN's Game".

I'm running the install-able version of Afterwind on Windows Vista Home Premium.

I moved two separate forces to attack two separate neutral cities. Both attacks showed as battles (little crossed sword symbol) at the end of movement. I pressed the end turn button and saw "waiting for other players".

After the end of the turn, my attacking units are instead adjacent to the target cities with no combat having occurred. This kind of sucks...

It has happened again. Had a friend who also plays look over my shoulder and he does not see anything wrong.

These are attacks on a neutral player so there is no friendship/alliance issue.

The moves are legal, the battle symbol appears.

If I hover over the battle symbol, I get the little pop-up window that shows my troops and his troops in combat.

No battle results and my troops are moved a short distance away from the attacked city.

WTF?

Now it has happened in other game that I am playing.

It does not seem to be happening to other players in the same game.

What am I doing wrong?

I have successfully done battles in the past but now it is not working.

Getting turnblocked perhaps?

Not unless neutrals can turn block. I'm also seeing this problem in a casual game I'm playing and we are not yet into PvP yet.

My friends and I have experienced the same thing. Seems to happen more often when you log back in after completing a turn. No idea how to fix it

That has been my experience also. That is, if I log back into a game after finishing my turn, it tends to lose the combats. Not clear what is causing this but I have stopped logging back in and don't seem to be seeing the problem any more. Strange bug.

That happen when you log off or close the window before ending turn. all your moves will be erased.

That thread is describing the same problems I have encountered.

It would seem the application has problems with "Save" after "End Turn" in casual games.

I am avoiding use of the "Save" button and have started exiting and restarting the application between games.

Rather frustrating.

I think Amok fixed the problems with the 'Save' button since that thread.
