Seriously. What good are the Marines extra speed if they cant keep up with the Helicopters. Using air transports makes it cost so much more and the picture of the marines in game are a bunch of guys coming down from helis on ropes. I think this will make the strategy much more balanced.

Dont know why everyone want to use so much marines and to boost them in DesertStorm....
In every strategy you need transport to follow the aircraft range....
Seriously Desert storm is totally viable only with infantry and helicopter.
Helicopter have a huge upkeep cost so just use infantry with them... and dont waste energy on marines except when you are fucking rich at the end of the game.
So just buy transport, helico and infantry first turn, YOU have starting infantry so just buy a transport a few helicopters and its done. A city of 8 militia is easily cleared by 2 helicopters and 5 inf in a transport.
Marines are currently ok, they will be used lategame to disturb your opponents just by moving marines in little stacks around the map like with GW.

The marines are in DesertStorm, cheap with a great ranges that you will use lategame to easily move marines across the map without using any air transport and transport.

For the real fight, and everything else just use infantry to defend your helicopter and to cap territories. Currently DesertStorm is one of the strategy with the easiest expansion against neutral no need to increase again the marines range.....

That is not a marines strategy like GW and MOS... the main units of this strategy are helicopters! Just use infantry to support them like in every strategy except GW(Militia replace infantry)...

It makes no sense, that is the problem.
I don't need a new strategy to do the same I would do with SM. Decreasing helicopter range and adding +1 capacity for marines would be a completely new concept, instead of just adding a strategy which works exactly like SM.
