Hillary is the only option the DNC had. She was Senator from New York, wife to a former President, and former Secretary of State. She has always had a following with Democrat voters and has been able to win the support of the establishment. There is no doubt in my mind she will win the nomination. Trum is appealing to a certain demographic- white working class men. He also polls very well with Republican women. With that said, he tends to pol at around 35-40% (usually 35). The majority of Republicans do not support him but they are divided between the other four candidates. Trump has been able to tap into free media by making outrageous claims at times. He has said so many things that now when he says anything out of the ordinary, it is simply brushed off as "Trump being Trump." He works not so much on expanding his voter base in the primary but rather making sure his people go out to vote. While the other four candidates squabble, he is able to win a plurality. For me, the best chance for the GOP is for Kasich and Cruz to drop out. There voters will go toward Rubio who will secure the nomination A Rubio-Kasich ticket would be the best ticket going into the election. With Rubio, you have a semi-moderate but who is liked by all sections of the Republican party (even the Tea Party). He will be able to garner hispanic votes (specifically Cubans who tend to vote Republican and reside mainly in Florida, a swing state). Kasich is a successful governor of Ohio who would help win Ohio for the GOP ticket. Ohio is another swing state and winning both fo those would help propel the GOP nominee forward. Furthermore, they are both relative moderates who can appease to the independents and moderate Democrats to vote Republican
