Actually I agree with clovis. Mods have a responsibility to disclose all mod actions taken by them in a transparent manner. How else would we ever know what Mods are really doing and if its right or not.

why? and how? the only people to whom moderator actions need to be made transparent to are the players involved, the mods themselves and the admins. We have to assume that the mods and the admins have the players' best interests at heart ultimately, which believe it or not, we do. Also a lot of moderator action is through reports which creates the issue of confidentiality. Full transparency is unrealistic.

Thanks for replying, Laochra.
Then you must give Pavle an explanation about how is allright to share his case in public. Did he allowed you to disclose that information? I bet no. Again, if the information is "confidential" and "Only parties involved can know it" then you had proved that you are not reliable for this job.
Humor is not bad. You are just doing it in the wrong place mate. I've translated the words in different translators, thinking that I was wrong. Yet you and the rest always complains about my English and how I invent words. However, this time I can assure the sentence DID NOT MEAN what you've interpreted. Your answer here is not appropriated. Maybe you can research the differences between can and should...
Thanks for proving the inconsistency Waffel One says he did started to explain, the one say that he was interrupted before he even say anything. But of course, only one of both is true. We can define from here that either you, laochra, or both are lying.

enough. I've given you the courtesy of responses up until this point but that stops after this post. I will no longer entertain responding to essay length responses based on misinterpretations and mistranslations of my posts, especially when it is all in the name of trolling. 1. i stated that only mods, the players involved or the admins have the right to "demand" full explanations for punishments. If we choose to inform others as to the details, then it is a courtesy. I choose not to respond to your demand for an explanation, which i have every right to do. I explained to pavle why he was banned 3 times. 2. The humour in my post is not misplaced. It should provide an indicator as to how seriously i am taking your responses. 3. The moderator team are not paid employees, we are not your personal slaves, we are simply players who try our best to look after this community in our spare time. All these threads and ridiculously long posts overanalysing and criticising every single moderator action, decision or behaviour is both unnecessary and unwarranted.

clovis1122, Here is a word of advice, Just stop while you are ahead! I'm only going to help you this one last time, so listen to me. They only gave you a one day ban on your main account. You clearly did break the rules but I won't get into details but what I'm trying to say is this whole cry thread is going to get you no where but backwards. You want to achieve something that is only going to damage your reputation in this community. People here seem to like you a lot but some are starting to get annoyed with you and I do suggest that you stop this nonsense. If not for yourself at least stop for everyone else. At least you can play atwar again so I suggest that you take your loses and move on. The Battle is over Clovis. Just go back to playing atwar like you were previous to this issue and let this issue fade into the past. I wouldn't waste my time trying to help you if I knew you were beyond helping but I still see that there's a chance that you will stop if you listen to my words. Trust me Clovis, I know what it's like to give up my pride but you must give it up this one time or it will cause more problems for yourself. Please read my message, I'm only trying to end this issue before it gets worse.

More accusations forcing me to respond. You should have followed comniption's advice.
1. No clovis, you are the troll, you are not fooling anyone, the evidence is all over the forums in spite of your selective deletions. Remember my recent strat change thread? You attempt to maintain this image as a pillar of the community all the while trolling players in threads who you dislike or who disagree with you. 2. No i did not ask for Pavle's permission. He forfeited all rights to confidentiality day 1 as he went to the forums, global and various players with all his dramas. And judging from the pr screenshot you mailed me he also has been posting people segments of our prs from that day. 3. I have not lied, not once. You do not understand the meaning of the word. It refers to a deliberate misrepresentation. I did no such thing. Ok so demand is not the right word. Yet here we are 1000s of words into a 2 page thread because i didnt respond to your mail in the 2 day timeframe you afforded me. Shall we call it an "extremely urgent question" then? 4. Pillory? Ok that is funny. Like pavle you brought the fact that i wasn't responding to your mails in front of the community, so i brought the mails here to show why. 5. The screenshot on your elo farming, i didn't know goblin made it. I didn't post it here thinking "oh ill omit the fact that goblin made it in order to shame clovis". You didnt mention this in your mail. Instead i receive this screenshot shortly after you were trolling me in roomchat on how you avoided any punishments for elo gambling. What else am i supposed to think? 6. And here we have it, clovis is annoyed i became a moderator. Is this little vendetta really that surprising or unexpected? 7. What do you want clovis, what are you after with all this? Do you want me removed as a mod because i didnt respond to your mails? Do you want an atwar constitution written up governing our every behaviour and action, lawyers to represent the players and a moderator team that responds to the communities' every whim? Ill repeat myself.
Yes clovis if we look to the rules as gospel and the little disclaimer at the end I as a mod can say and do whatever i want and am immune from criticism. But we all know that is not really the case. That little disclaimer is to protect the mods from unforseen circumstances which may require mod action, for example the elo gambling, the mods and most the players who posted in the threads about it agreed el and soldier should be punished, but should we not do so because the rules do not mention it? A mod is self moderated by his peers, the admins, and there are guidelines within the moderator forum advising us on our behaviour, not to mention the actual gamerules. Furthermore, we are guided by our own morales principles and ethics. And if you havent realised this already, Ivan and Amok are pretty decent guys. After 3 years you should already have gotten a grasp on their characters. Do you really think they are going to let any mod step out of line? I have said all i am going to say on this matter, i have had enough of this mudslinging. What am i actually meant to have done to warrant all this? If you have any further issues with my actions as a moderator i suggest you either go to the other mods or take them to the admins, i am sure they will be overjoyed to read them. As for me, i am placing you on ignore. There are plenty of other mods who can help you should you require it. That is all.

What I'm simply saying is that yea no ones perfect, and they might make poor judgements (they're human too) but at the end of the day it's part of their job. Good ole tophats muted me for no reason. I asked him, got no response, so I went to another mod, who then undid my mute. Challenging a mod in forum is asking for trouble and trying to stir up dissent. Handle it like a man, and just talk to the mod? It another one. I'm tired of people crying over silly stuff. A lot of players claim to be older adults (20s), yet if no one told me I'd assume the average age was 14. Don't complain in forum where no one wants to see u cri, go to mods and handle it with them. If nothing, go to admins, no need to involve community.

First of all, as a person who's celebrating his 16th birthday tomorrow, I find your age-based stereotypes rather insulting. Second, most moderators' attitude - at least of the ones I've had the displeasure of chatting with - is rather dismissive. Although thankfully I've never needed to message a moderator, I can imagine why most players are reluctant to do so. Third, what's wrong with stirring up dissent? It's one of the fastest way to get things to change.

Heh nuthin wrong with dissent if it's for a better good. And u don't sound 16, your a pretty mature kid. I find it interesting tht you found mods dismissive, I've had pretty normal conversations with most.
Then don't go to forums, wait on either amok or Ivan. They may take a while since they got other things to do in life, but they will respond. Just be patient, and all will be well

I feel like I am repeating my words... I have up to two cases about mods with Ivan, he saw both but no reply. And he have the right to, because lack of time. I've wait a lot you know.. Players tends to forget the messages they see. I disagree with you about the community. If it was me, I would say the community is pretty much involved in how stuff works here. This type of problems should'be resolved, in my opinion, among the community, because when no proceture works, the only way to solve differences is talking to each others.

Raul, there actually isn't a 'huuuuuuge' difference between hate and criticism... the words actually are more related than they are different. On a serious note: Clovis should stop crying on these forums... it's becoming ridiculous. Maybe we should make a special forum for clovis and all the haters... so they could go there and cry all they want.

I didn't know that a "cry thread" was a terminology used for troll proposed. For what to me, a non native speaker seems and had learned from how people use the words here, a "cry thread" is the terminology used for disapprove a system (Tb's, rolls, and in this case, Moderators). I only knew I was misusing the term when Stryko told me so. I retract from calling this a cry thread, cause it is not. Is a real problem that must be deal with. Now, can ask why you define this as a cry thread? (Assuming this is the justification you are giving for move it to off-topic forums). Additionally, can we return to topic? What do you think about consistency? I would like a moderator input specifically on this though, maybe justifying why it shouldn't happen:
Thanks for you reply. Hopefully the "consistency" topic doesn't bring you bad memories

Sure, i'll take the bait. My view on consistency is this: Every mod action is to improve the enjoyment of the game. That's the consistency. That's it. Period. We have a diverse mod team (would you really want every mod to have the exact same view on everything... think about this before answering ! So because different mods have different opinions on different 'offenses', specific actions also differ (one mod thinks ban, one might say mute, one might say just talk to the person) so there are a range of different responses. Even the same mod might give a different consequence for the same action... (what?!) Does that make it inconsistent? Consider a player that is coming back from a ban and is genuinely trying to improve, and everyone can see it, and they slip up... then yes, if effort is being made, then a mod might give a lighter consequence, because that is all that is needed... same thing goes for a first time offender. If a player repeatedly is escalating a small issue to the point of filling every mods box with messages over a trivial matter, than a bigger consequence might be given for the same action, even though the initial 'offense' was minor. But when you sit back and look at the question of whether mods are being consistent, every action mods take is in an effort to improve the enjoyment for players. To that, i'm not aware of any inconsistencies. ♥
