Can Generals die in battle?

Seems like a stupid question....

If they are destroyed, can you build a new one?

Yes Generals can die
No you can't get a new one

Also: I will advice you to read this guide. There is a lot of information about generals, battle mechanics and stuff. I'm sure you will find things there, that you didn't know about
