I know there is a lot of ideas going on this area of the forum, but there is a very simple one : possibility to recruit and pay (high cost) every game one field officer or one air marshall.

1st : that would be accessible to everyone, so the non prems could have something to counter the premiums generals ;

2nd : U could only recruit one / game on your cap t5, so that minimize the risk of getting too many of them + u will have to choose between a field officer or an air marshall. ;

The benefits, in terms of stack bonuses, aren't that high, it's more about the way u play, thus beginners will more focus on having a stack and would have a part of the benefice that include the generals ; for the premiums it allows u to get a second leader for your defence stack for example.

Just proposing, but that shouldn't be a difficult idea to realize.

It's just that, personally, i consider that rare units should be more accessible in classical games, as units u could possibly create (even at an high cost) ; that's the advantage of the Ancient map, u fight for certain countries cause u know there is units which worth it (the distortion are maybe too important, still).

In EU classic for example that would be nice if the units were more specific to country / area.

yea some detail will make the game more enjoyable, but too much specification will turn world map into an RP map
