Overview and History

German Political is a map dated around 1815-1871 where Continental Europe was in a state of turbulence and overall exhaustion after the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars. Germany is divided between a small minor kingdoms and the major power Prussia. There are three major powers in the map; Prussia, France, and Austria (In order of power). Minors can align themselves with any of these countries as a vassel or stay neutral.

How to use Politics to Gain Influence and Power

Most minors are extremely weak in the beginning with very little income and land. Examples are Gotha-Saxe or Oldenburg. You can appeal as an valuable asset to the major you want to ally that in exchange they will protect you with their large armies. For instance, Anhalt is close to Prussian train lines, vital for transporting his armies. Anhalt can offer an alliance to Prussia claiming that he will secure the train lines. Prussia will most likely accept this alliance. Once you have established an alliance with a major, you can seek to conquer neighbors. Asking permission from majors to conquer lands will assure you that they will protect you if another major power deems this a threat (Make sure your allies are trustworthy and aren't noobs). You can also ask majors for money, but don't keep asking for too much as they have their own priorities and can make you seem as a liability not an useful ally.

Bigger minors such as Baveria or Hanover have more money and troop, but they are often gangbanged by multiple smaller minors or even a major (Austria/France demanding Baverian land). Effective management of who is your ally and your army size will ensure you won't die quickly. Picking too many enemies, especially with a major is a bad idea. If you are under attack by a major you can appeal to another major for help (Prussia). If Austria is demanding a piece of Baveria you can ask Prussia for protection to deter Austria. Majors are usually desperate to find a reason to fight another major, especially Prussia.

Denmark is a special case as it isn't necesary a german minor. It has special Danish infantry that has the best defense in the game. Denmark can get attacked by other germans for no reason and is vulnerable to attack in early game (Mecklenburg). Danes can also be very appealing for a major to ally as he is powerful in the North later on.

Playing Dirty and Backstabbing

Since this is political, playing like a fag is acceptable for minors to gain lands/money/power faster. For example, Baveria can ally Prussia, but be a double agent for Austria. Baveria can end up leaching money from Prussians and also mount surprise attacks on Prussia while ultimately still working for Austria. Denmark can also offer to ally Prussians to ensure that he can kill off his enemies in the North without Prussian interference, but still be working for himself.

Conclusion

German Political is a really fun game and have interesting and intense wars. Scheming and communicating in chats will make the game more engaging and fun for all players

Orcs are a horde, much like Turks. Elves and Men are light skinned, Orcs are often darker/sallow skinned, like Turks.
