Upgrades = advantage

Don't upgrades give a player an advantage? Seems it would be more "fair" if all had the same abilities and it would make the game more about strategy and skill.

In comparison to basically every other online game, atwar is incredibly fair in terms of the advantages premiums get, so do not complain. You know, in other games premium = cheats and autowin. The game makers do that because all they care about is $$$.

Yes, upgrades DO give players (small) advantages, but that is what makes people want to continue playing the game: to get to that next upgrade they've been working hard towards to get a certain advantage over their opponents in some area. If everyone had the same upgrades, there would be no goal to work towards, nor any incentive to try to make a come-back from behind after being oppressed the majority of a certain game; or even to play at all. Having a certain upgrade that you're working hard towards is what gives people the incentive and "energy rush" to try their best to win a game. If atWar is a 5-star game with everything as it is now, taking away the upgrades would bring it down to a 2 or 3-star in my opinion.

If we all had the same abilities, the MAIN room would be pretty boring. We need incentive here. Things like Mobile Special Defense don't give much advantage. Strategies also spice up things. Think if we all had the same strategies available across the board. All the anarchy. Everyone would have overpowered strats like SM and BK. Plus that would take too much away from premium. Most definitely there would be no incentive to rank up. Plus this game is fair only if you have formulated dozens of strategies. I feel like this game is fair as it is. As an r3 I would take down r7s due to proper training. If you want this game to be fair, ask someone for training and help. No support for you.
