Save walls you wish to make often to save more time during turns.
If you have 3 units and want to wall your capital, you could for example hold shift & 1 for your first preset save.
If you wish to make a straight wall with 3 units and it is your second saved preset, you would hold shift & 2.
Once you have a preset selected you can click were you want the preset to be placed (If in the unit's range)

I say hold shift & 1 because 1-9 on it's own is already used to move a single unit of what is assigned to that number (Militia would be 1 as they are cheapest units)

Presets could be made on your profile page and can be changed at anytime. Other players could also see your presets on your profile page.

I am shit at expressing things so hopefully you can understand ^

I don't want to shoot down the idea, because its not bad, I just don't think its necessary. Shortcuts already make walling a city take 3 seconds and making walls in the area relatively quick as well, the only thing that I think could of adding/modifying is giving stacks of units outside of cities the ability to use shortcuts as well.

Something similar was requested here as well just with less variation

Time management is a skill in itself, why won't people understand that...

Separate modular wall construction can be useful for both new players and casual/big games (as an option)
