I have a 10000 x 5000 Satellite World Map image and I want to draw borders on it however I can't draw them accurately as I don't know where the countries actual borders are. What should I do?

Erase the map and quit map making.

Compare satellite map with a political map.

Use Photoshop (or similar GNU programs) and put political map as layer above sattelite image... important is to have the end size accurately. Upload the image (satellite and political layers) into AW map environment. Draw the borders. Replace background (political and satellite layers) with only satellite map.

For me ,i usually draw the image or draw borders on a satellite map image using an image drawing tool.
But it sounds a little bit difficult .So i also want to know is there any easier way to draw images?
Thanks for any suggestion.
