I've often found myself wanting to host a scenario, but not knowing if I can fill it or not. A few precise players play scenarios, and I'm almost sure that's the case with many other game types. So I was thinking that we could enable players to tag themselves as scenario players, RP players, competitive players, ancient players etc. and have a list of currently online, non-afk, non-in-game people for each type, and also have a chat for each game type where we can easily advertise our games. That would make hosting quite easier and drasticly reduce the chances of games failing.

Or you could friendlist all scenario players....

This is quite a good suggestion.

It allows for direct-advertisement, and thus less spam for those not interested( other player kinds)
However, as these players will only play the same thing over and over, what's in it for other game types and the players themselves, never discovering other ways to enjoy the game?

A player could join many categories.

There's no "send message to all friends" chat
