My ally and I have been faced with a player that constantly passes walls and hits and takes cities.

Is it possible and how can I do that or counter that?

Another Q: few posts before me someone asked how can it be possible to get a ship on a Sweden's lake not connected to a port.

Reply was to ask a senior player.

I find it strange, and not really helpfull that such things arent answered on this forum so that many more ppl can see.
It is also not really helpful that that answer was given by a mod and afterwards the topic was closed.

I presume it has nothing to do with scripted events in scenarios....

No they can not pass your walls, you're doing it wrong or too open. Though if it's your ally he does can pass your allies and take empty cities.
Yes you can, there's a trick. I'll post an image here soon, you can get on some lakes on russia and other countries too.

My walls are done perfectly, not too far and not passable when others play against me.

This player seems to go through. He does kill one of the wall parts in the process.

I would like to know if someone can tell..

Would that be a hack or a bug?

Exactly - what is wrong with that?

Shouldn't everyone know all the inns and outs of the game to have level playing field?

As to breaking walls being a bug - where do I report it, and the person using it as exploit, and what are the sanctions for the one exploiting the game?

Mario, if someone uses his soldier or army to break your wall, it's not a bug. If he goes past your wall WITHOUT breaking it, then it's a bug.

Can he break a wall and at same turn appear in my walled city?
Yes, on few occurances there were walled units still alive, and the enemy conquered my city.

All he has to do to break your walls is hit them with any number of any units and the wall breaks. Reguardless of who won or even if you didn't loose any units the wall still breaks. Is that what happens or is it something else? If so Private me I think I got an idea.

Do you mean he breaks your wall and invades your city all in the same turn?

Would be nice if you could provide screenshots.

I think Cherse just moved the transport there the next turn and then created the white dotted lines on Paint. If that were true, show us that in the same turn.

I think I know what's going on here with everyone. In regards to cherse, I think he made a custom map in which either Norway is water or a sea transport functions as an air transport. Custom maps let us pull sooooo many stunts.

As to the OP, I think what's happening is that bug introduced with the merge where placing a unit extremely close to another unit or a city makes it go in. For example, walling Istanbul often results in 2 units combining, creating an ineffective 2-1 wall next to the city. Or putting a unit very near another makes it attack. This bug only started happening with alpha custom maps and really needs to be taken care of.

Your enemy probably placed his army as close as possible to the middle of one side of your wall and broke the wall with a few bombers. The game engine then saw the army as so close to the city that it must attack, taking the city. This is entirely speculation of course; I'll test it out later on. Either way, the aforementioned bug needs to be fixed.

Yeah Math wins its an air trans.

i also agree that the walls have been worse since the alpha custom maps. It used to be a lot worse due to zoom problems but its still not as it was.

And I still can't get the transport into the middle of sweden :/
