I'm just curious. I've been reading the units and I don't quite understand the difference between HP and defense in the context of AtWar.

I realized I needed to calculate how many units I should send to any given stack/city in order to win, so that I send just the right amount, but when I tried to get started I realized I didn't have all the info I needed to make the calculations.

Toast makes me very sad.

1) Defence is the damage you do when defending.

2) Hit Points are the points that you lose when the attack/ defence of a unit hit you.

Hit Points (HP) is how much damage a unit can take, a 7 hp infantry can take 7 hits, so if a tank attacks it and rolls higher then 7 it kills it, critical chance is the chance of a critical hit being scored (10 being 10%, 50 being 50%) it adds a guaranteed damage (like a tank has 8 attack, with a critical hit it automatically calculates that attack in its damage output with aditionaly rolling another attack so you can roll 4 and the attack will be 12 all in all).
