A little introduction (can be skipped): At the moment units of afterwind have those stats: Attack, Critical, Hit Points, Move Range, Cost, Defence, Collateral, Capacity and View Range. Strategies Modify those stats, for example Lucky Bastard adds +10 critical and + 4 vision and + 10 cost for all units. Unexpected Factor can be a strategy bassed in Random advantages and disadvantages to stats, (Advantages and Disadvantages quantity is something that should be thinked to make a fair strategy). This is basically a proposition of strategy that changes randomly a bit of unit states to make an unexpected factor.

I think this would actually be very interesting to see in practice, but extremely difficult to add in. Also, unless it was limited to how good or bad certain things could get, it has the possibility that just a small touch of luck could create a nearly invincible player. And if it rolls badly and screws you over, people would ragequit. Interesting... but not practical.
