Perhaps the units that are involved in the making of the walls shouldn't break when 1 unit attack them. If the units survived the assault, why do they regroup and dissociate from the wall position?

You can make a wall of 100 infantries, add 100 for the other stack and add a general in one of they.

How would that be any different from having the units inside the city? Actually, it would be even weaker because inf don't get the +1 city bonus.

Not sure if this idea has been discussed recently... but I would support walls that don't fall apart under failed attacks.

I support this, it would encourage more tactical gameplay.

only people who who moan at this is players who use a lot of stealth I think. That being said i am one of those people, and relish the challenge it could bring.
