What are the most reliable cars in the world?

I have heared many opinions be4, but I don't have a driver's license yet and I have never driven a car yet, but regarding the future, I wanted to ask you all this:

Whatever car is most common in your area is best, = cheapest parts


However people who drive jeeps in my city complain they break down a lot because they can't handle the heat humidity and terrain

I am not millionaire, that's why I put these companies..

German or Japanese cars, tho Japanese cars tend to lose value very quickly..

Škoda and Seat are in europe best bang for your buck
they are VW groupation and have interchangable parts, and most of the time engines are same, and because you are in Romania I think Skoda would be perfect choice for you

I like the design of Seat, but this is personal taste. + as I've seen at my friends, Seat don't consume much, its cost is cheap and it's pretty powerful on steep terrain.

And yea, BS, Škoda is very popular here and it's also a great car, both for individuals and family, both for short and long roads. But I think it's a bit more expensive than Seat

Lada Niva is reliable and durable. That's the point of that car, to be good in nature (rocks, holes, ponds, mud), and still good for concrete roads like any other car. Downside is its price, expensive, $5000

Since Lada or AvtoVaz is not in the list, i voted Germany, their cars do not brake down, and this comes from Slav experience. Especially Golf 2, the legend of the Slavic World 1990's

Lada's are a heap of shit, and German cars are not reliable lol. Stay away from VW passat's especially. Skodas, Hyundais. Fords and Toyotas are the most reliable cars imo. The parts are often far cheaper than Volvos, VWs, BMWs etc..
European cars are usually nicer in design and nicer to drive (from what I've heard), but aren't as reliable.

Father of one of my friends crashed with his old Lada in a concrete electricity post, needless to say that the car barely had a scratch, and the pole break from the base and collapsed. Imo they are one of the toughest cars (or at least old Ladas, idk how are the new ones)

The only difference between 2 is ideological: one is capitalist car for middle class(extra features, expensive) and other is communist car for working class(no extra features, cheap; expensive after ussr)

Do you think the engine is the only part to a car? We have had guys problems with a VW passat 2007, and others in my country have also. Golfs are very popular, but I do not know about their reliability. Modern day car construction has nothing to do with political ideologies, but target markets.

The space is limited for each section so I put fiat and lancia thinking they are a bit cheaper than AR. But AR is cool, we know it.
