A Beta-Tourney Sign-Ups

I am happy to announce the first Non- Official Afterwind Single Elimination Europe Tournament!

I will take the first 16 ppl to sign up (with extras to be reserves) to compete as follows:

1v1 Games with the following settings:

Starting Funds: $10,000
Turn Duration: 3 Minutes
Maximum Players: 2
Allow Joining until week: 1

Victory:
Capture Capital: Hold for 2 Turns
Maximum Game Duration: 50 Turns

Advanced:
Initial Countries: 1
Allow Rejoining: No
Allow Alliance: No
100 Additional Cities: No

As this is still Beta, and there are no real Tournament tools, I'll be counting on your own good graces to ensure it's run properly.

I will set up a bracket of participants, and it is UP TO THE PARTICIPANTS TO SCHEDULE A MATCH BETWEEN THEMSELVES!

ONCE THE MATCH IS COMPLETE: BOTH PLAYERS MUST PM THE RESULT--don't be a sore loser about this!

If a week passes without the participants able to arrange for a match, both players must Private Message myself and their opponent a schedule of available times to make the match up in the following week. If one of the players does not follow through on this, a reserve will be substituted for the player missing in action. If no reserves are available, the remaining player will receive a "bye"

The bracket will be set up based on Total SP as of the time I make the brackets.

What more rules would you like to know?
Yes, the person who picks first gets a bit of an advantage, and perhaps a "best of 3" might be more fair for a future tournament, but as this is really a first try, I thought to keep it simple.

Hmmm... I guess I can clarify one point:

* Each round, the first person listed will be responsible for creating the game, with the second person joining....

* In the event of a rules clarification, n00less cluebie (the Tournament moderator) will make all decisions, and all decisions are final, and may not be appealed. It may not be completely "fair" or "balanced" or whatnot, but I'll do my best
