We are despritly in need of an op east in sm these days.

Think main issue being a LOT of players left with end of Silverlight thus 2015 kinda eh

edit, I know myself all but stopped playing after Silverlight as most my friends in this game (granted a lot still play) majority left during that stage

The thing is... the competitive community is probably the most toxic inner community in atwar, It's hard to get anywhere while constantly being abused by the "pros" but even then I wouldn't say it's been "dry" there's a lot of great talent showing up... it's a bit unfair to name like 2 players and say they're the only good ones when I've probably seen better guys coming through than that.

I've not been jumping on AtWar too much lately but I agree im seeing a LOT more names ive never heard of doing 3v3 (idk if in cw as well) so it's definitely not dead

2014 had players like Opi, Zone, Soldier, Ghost, Dizabo, Sun Tzu and Mecoy....

search for that standard of comp player with registration in 2015 and theres not much to look at.

Lichess, Pokemon Showdown, Kongregate, Duelingnetwork.... and a lot of others.

A 100% toxic-free community doesn't exist. Trolls will always come in every shape and size. Nonetheless this is the 2nd most toxic community I've ever been (note I've played lots of MMO's) and could indeed use a lot of tweaks. Sad history they ditched the road to self-moderation and complains are never addressed when not fully ignored.

Anyway, not sure if someone already commented about this but several clans have been training new players into the competitive scene. Inmortals, Stalins, Enigma and of course, Epic Clan introduced to the competitive scene many low ranks. I certainly see a lot of new faces, new clans and new duelists among the scoreboards, and a high # of cws/duels played. IMO, we're doing great introducing new players to the competitive scene.

There isn't much of a problem as long as we're not losing competitive players. Currently, the # of newcomers makes up for the # of old hags who stopped playing. However the concern is the quality that these newcomers bring as opposed to the old hags. This is why the competitiveness of 3v3s has been declining, and duels have been increasing. Apart from the seasonal elo incentive (RATED TEAM GAMES PLS), players are attracted more to duels than 3v3s because quite frankly it's hard to get 6 good players in one game a lot of the time.

there are many contributing factors to the growth stagnancy of this game, the players arent one of them. But that is another boring discussion, i have long since accepted this communities fate.

I think the level of toxicity experienced by a player is dependent on that player. I for example consider the community here to be quiet nice and i have an ex moderator's perspective on this. I also used to play in communities like voobly and gamranger which are much worse. Or dota2 which is ridiculous(fucking russians).

You however used to be extremely annoying. I remember how you used to bombard my prs with pointless smalltalk almost daily. Sometimes id even get asked how i was 3/4 times within the same day. Ignoring you didnt deter you in the slightest. It became a bit of a running joke between me and waffel, what we would call "bulleting" people. I hope you've changed. I wouldnt be surprised if a few less dimplomatic ppl here told you to fuck off. I know it wasn't just me and waffel you did it to.
