Why after a while my troops are turning into militia? is this part of the game?

When you take a city you get free militia from that city. the amount of free militia you get is equal the the reinforcements u get from that city during reinforcement turn.

Your troops are not turning into militia. Your troops will never change in the game no longer how long it takes. As Check explained above, after taking a city a number of militia, equal to the number of reinforcements the city produces, will spawn free of charge. You will lose troops during the battle of course which is possibly why you are under the impression that they turned into militia.
