Let's decide who is the best player in 2020 (PLAYERS FROM all-time- since AW first released) (YOU ARE NOT RESTRICTED TO 2020). Here's how it's going to work:

Post who you think is the best 10 players that you have met in atWar. You need to say in which position from 1-10 (1-best player you think) and the position means points that will be added with others to determine the best. The player with the most points wins!

Position 10 means 1 point
Position 9 means 2 points
Position 8 means 3 ponits
Position 7 means 4 ponits
Position 6 means 5 ponits
Position 5 means 6 ponits
Position 4 means 7 ponits
Position 3 means 10 ponits
Position 2 means 15 ponits
Position 1 means 20 ponits

What defines the Best Player?

Well for one, you have to be good at the game. But being good at the game isn't what makes you "the best". On top of being good at the game, you should be:

- Working to keep the community involved
- Well respected and known
- Knowledgable on the general community
- Has been here for a while
- Knows what's going on in the community
- Participates in the community via tournaments, clan wars, making guides, etc.

Remember this thread doesnt mean they truly are the best player, if we wanted to do that we would have an entirely new system. This is mostly to see what everyones opinions are

Depends how you think of average I've put a general definition of what we should consider the "Best Player"

KarlXIV, the lord of average, Rex Regis Universe, the King of the Earth, Protector of Humanity, Arts and WIldlife is definitely not going to win ..... so feel good Sheikh

1.Nic unpredictable,retarded playstyle and moves but always work zzzzz
2.Witch doctor 2018 one was too good zzzzz
3.Eagle lucky guy, almost no mistake in his playstyle, too bad he lost and relying too much on luck now
4.Lao same as wd too good, I wish I would play against him again with all upgrades D
5.Chess fag inf spammer and stacker
6.Clovis played against him only 3 months and he wasn't at his best, but we had nice random maps duels
I would put bugs here,but because of his hack, I won't.
7.JF we had a similar playstyle (that's what he said and I agree) but he was playing better than me, good shit I changed it.
8.Heatler underestimated, can play every country at a good level, and got a strong turkey.
9.Acquiesce underestimated too, I didn't know he was that good till I join illy and play with him.
10.Grom Noob,doesn't understand how the game work, I don't know how he could be that good.

I think cwer are far better than dueller, that's why wd can't be first, he's the best dueller but can't play with a team (orca is the proof of it,with lulu and boywind he was struggling to win cws idk why, it wasn't a bad team, I was winning them with lowranks lol), I didn't play him enough in 2018 where he was at his best I played like 2 duels against him and he told me "now I know why people are telling you're good but there is a lot of mistakes in your gameplay" but in 2019 we did few duels and I won all.
I started to be really good when every good players started to leave, can't play them on top.

I would put me on top 5 but behind nic.

I'll put out a list. Unlike many above I'll try to be objective and not simply vote my friends. While I haven't really been active this year, I've played with and against all the top players for years. I'm voting players based on their ability to compete in today's competitive scene. So for example, old legends like tophats won't make my top 10.

This was actually interesting to think about.

I think you could justifiably make an argument for any of my top 4 to be no. 1. I put 4nic at no 4 because there's a question mark over his ability on big maps in long games. Although I've seen him confidently destroy chess and clovis multiple times and I've seen him do beastly things in cws.

Similarly you could argue chess and clovis above witch-doctor based on achievements but again I've seen witch confidently stomp them multiple times across various settings. When he means buisness he's the scariest player I've encountered.

If I were to rank myself, I would place myself amongst chess/clovis/4nic but I'm definitely not better than witch. The rest of my list is debateable but I think i've got it fairly accurate.

I'll try to be as open minded about this as I can. I won't think of specifically duels but also how well they have team played in clan wars, and how well they perform under pressure in tournaments.

Also I am not friends with some of these people. I actually have some ignored and banned so you know I am being objective.

Personally I would place myself below Chess. Everyone in the top 7 spots I have struggled to play against whether it was in a duel or a clan war. These guys tend to be smart players, make risky moves which wins them the game and great team players. Anyone not on this list just means that I have had respectable battles with and don't have a history of constant losses against.

a lot of people on aw are toxic, but skill is skill y'know, i don't personally know him but i know he's a damn good player, and for that he has my respect!

You are just using your own definition of 'best' instead of answering the question, while it is clear from the context that people want to discuss who is best in terms of skill.
