First I am one of the most active players in the community. I am practically the only map maker still contributing to the community with few exception like E.J.R. I have always and will always help with any problem i can solve including editor issues and teaching game basics. I have always supported Admins as this is there game despite the unpopularity of some of there decisions. it is true ive made some rule violations but i have not for many months and do not intend to again. and despite any rule breaking i have never tried to hurt this community as many players have. This is my favorite game i only want to help make it better. Inactive, Uncaring, or abusive mods has been a major problem for many players for a long time.

There are people who has contribute more but havent been promoted to mod..they deserve mod position more than those who only create maps..clovis & google chrome did a lot. Cold case & darkmace too.

I agree that they do a lot for this game too or have in the past, but you cant deny Nifty hasn't done enough to be taken into consideration too. I think it'd be quite refreshing to have a Mod promoted not on the fact that he is friends with some of them or is a competitive player for once. It's not for us to say but I think he should at least be heard out much like the other guys. If you only knew who some of the moderators are suggestion for next mod you would be pissed off lol

I didn't knew that creating map can become mod. Atwar mod team now is trash i agree. They do their job poorly. Picked by poorly mods because theyre friends or a competitive player..and now the community wants a mod from a map maker which doesnt make sense..but i see a lot of positivity in nifty..and if hes the right guy then why not. The mod team.now is trash anyway

I think having a moderator who is also a map creator is key as there are a lot of problems surrounding that area of the game currently, But you're looking at it just like how every other person looks at it, you've not really put too much thought into what it is he can offer. Why I say Nifty is a moderator for the regular player is because of his background he is not contained in a single area of atwar like most people are, for example all the current moderator picks are all competitive player meaning their views on issues outside of competitive is usually biased or unfair but with Nifty he has his feet in every major area, Map making, scenarios and we've even had chats how he wants to give competitive a go, He's also not a part of all that typical atwar drama we see. So don't draw your conclusion before youve even had a chance to think it over, he has as much and maybe even more to offer as much as the other candidates. One of the most supported choices for next Moderator is Sultan... what do you think compared to that lol

Nifty is a level headed dude, help and helped countless of players, create new content for atwar every time, spending hours upon hours with a broken map editor. Overall a nice dude. He may have had few spam cases but nobody is perfect. He have done some mistakes in the past but give him the chance to become a mod and provide help to the game and players.

He offer himself to become mod because he's not connected to any mod, he plays mainly scenarios and he's a map maker which makes him almost unknown to most of the mods. He wouldn't be considered by the current mods because they will rather promote their friends (even if they're inactive) or someone else who's competitive than players like Nifty....

Doesnt change the fact of what I just said.

Sure there is a point of truth in what you say, but why would you want to become a moderator of a game who picks mods the way they do like that?

I mean, if you are active and good for this game, just do it without becoming moderator, because all the crying people in helpchat and report chat, and just because you have ''~'' infront of your name will take your time and you won't be doing all the things you did before you became moderator. Alot of mods suffered from that, your personal opinion can't be outted anymore because you have to think about the other people who might get triggered or butthurt by it and get threads with ur name in it saying that this is not the way a mod should act etc.

Also no shittalking or w/e, but asking someone in pr to support him and upvote him, doesn't really sound different than most of the other 'mod-candidates' we have at this moment, how about thinking about that. So clearly he isnt really different than most of them, so he might have a chance to actually become one mod .

And yeah you're kinda right about the part you said mods suffer from private message spam, need to think twice before they post and along other things. But that's the responsibility they took upon themselves when they choose to accept this position. And by being a mod Nifty can help this game in a ways he can't do as a regular player.

.

I agree.

One of the rules to become mod is not to ask, but in this situation if Nifty doesn't ask how he will be noticed? In mod forum they passed regulation that players must be minimum 2 years old on this game to be eligible for consideration and regardless of that rule they choose Promethues who was 7 months on atwar. So I think Nifty should be exception too.

Anyways, cheers.
