Hey, the English Wikipedia page for Moonlight, the Linux implementation of Silverlight is apparently going to support Silverlight 4 quite soon which is what Afterwind runs on! But yeah, you're stuck on Windows for now! ;__; I've been looking for a Linux distribution myself these days, and after having looked at a LOT of distributions, I've narrowed it down to the three that interest me most; Linux Mint (first choice), openSuSE (second choice, mainly for being RPM-based) and Pardus, a bit of an oddball that looks to be incredible and going to explode soon, but it has a weird installer format. What would you recommend? Is SuSE good for a beginner at Linux who's has a lot of experience with Windows and is up to God-tier level without being a programmer? I really would want to avoid using the Terminal/Bash/Command Line. What distribution would YOU recommend?

Its actually the only and first distrubution i'm running and it's really easy to begin with... I know a bit of programming (C++) and I had no big problems... It just took a bit of time to set my sound up cause my soundcard wasn't really compatible but I fixed it now. About the terminal: I'm hardly forced to use it. All the common applications/Programms are easy to install! If you can get to use to the terminal do! It helps you a lot cause when you need help you have to know at least to handle and understand what they say in forums. So some basics wouldn't be bad. But anyway reading helps read as much as you can! I think the most common versions are ubuntu and suse! so rather pick one of those cause they are mostly written about in forums... If i may change again if may be ubuntu

Hehe, we went way off-topic there but I got what I wanted--thanks mods! I don't like Ubuntu because it's made by Canonical, a capitalistic corporation that disgusts me. Red Hat is not much better, but at least they associate themselves more with the community and other Linux distributions, while Canonical contributes almost nothing to the Linux kernel, as I read in an article the other day. That's why I chose Linux Mint! But yeah, I have a pretty good understanding of systems overall but I understand Unix-based systems (like Linux) are a radical departure from ol' Windows. I'll probably try SuSE as I like its selection of software more, and it has rolling releases now, apparently (to an extent). I also no longer wish to support GNOME, GNOME 3's developers reaaaaally lost the plot I think! What's their problem?! Bah, I hate GNOME now, KDE strong! So yeah, SuSE for me I guess. Thanks for your insight. :3
