I mean 30 seconds seems like it's just the right amount of time it's not too long and allows for the most part enough time to scan over the nations to choose from if one is playing a scenario.

When your internet is acting weirdly and you suffer from 20-second lag, 30 seconds definitely isn't enough.

Support as an option.

You get two chances... i agree 30 seconds isn't always enough, but if it was a minute, games would take even longer to start. I'm okay with 30 seconds because you don't lose money until you miss the second chance, so you have a full minute in total. If you're internet is that slow during picking phase, you probably need to find a new game.

I said nope, but not QUIET sure seemed like an interesting answer.
