Is there a lag problem that started recently??

I've been on this game since January and never had any problems with lag.
About a week or two ago I started getting severe lag when using AtWar.

Sometimes my computer would freeze up completely and i'd
have to manually restart it.

I thought maybe I didn't have enuf RAM so I ordered more & doubled my RAM.
Still, same lag is occurring. No freeze up yets but the lag sucks.
