I believe you guys are over-reacting about this new update.

It was only introduced today, so there is time to test it, fix it and remove it if necessary. There is no need to start "petitions" or anything like that, the admin's will SEE that people don't like the update, and will deal with it in their own time. If they're any better than the ROBLOX admin's, then they'll listen to you guys and set things straight. Be glad that the game is still here to play fully and hopefully will be here for a long time.

HOWEVER, I think that if more in-game updates were to be made, they should be implemented when they HAVE been thoroughly tested. It's hard to make progress with in-game updates if you don't even play the games. Maybe the admin's can recruit expert players to become testers, that help test these updates to see if they like them or not. Also, the admin's should ask the community if they like the ideas they're thinking of, so they can get a clear picture of what people do/don't want.

I agree, far to much hate going around for the hard working developers. i think that this TB update is a move in he right direction. of course things need it be rebalanced. i have always thought of turn blocking as more of an exploit than anything else. im glad to see it go.

Yes, the update was in the right direction, that's obvious, but we will need some adjustments, and I'm sure they will be done ASAP. People just need to stop freaking out after every single change in AW. It hasn't been even one full day with it yet.

You can have an opinion, but when it comes to balancing it needs more experienced players...

Wrong again. I play the game too. You don't need to be experienced to know what's right and wrong in a game that you play, no matter how good you are. I play AW to have fun, not get the ultimate rank. I'm not sure how you play it, but I would think lots of other "experienced" players play for fun too.

Your credibility just flew out the window with that statement.

While they certainly aren't as experienced as the average player, especially when it comes to terms of balancing, using age to determine who's wrong or right isn't the answer.

I never said your argument wasn't there;

While he may not have the full capabilities of knowing balancing inside and out, his solution never said that he DID. All that it said was that the admins should probably ask the community what updates should be done, and should thoroughly test the ideas before releasing them. That makes perfect sense and would improve any and all updates.

The reason you lost all credibility in my eyes is that you're using things such as "Whatever, you're 14", and "Ok underage people" as insults to throw around, when it should have absolutely nothing to do with this at all, as well as the fact that your argument doesn't even pertain to the original thread. He never even mentioned balancing originally, that was a second guy who said that things may need tweaked.

The fact that you have absolutely no argument whatsoever, and the fact that you're arrogant enough to use age to discredit anyone involved who weren't even arguing with you are the only issues I've actually seen on this thread.

They fixed it because of the reaction of the community. If there wasn't such an instantaneous response, Amok wouldn't have changed the mechanics yet again with some, what, 36 hours? Less, probably. It may have been changed eventually, but if it weren't for that (rightfully justified) reaction, there would have been no action taken on the part of the admins.

And goodnames; the matter has been discussed a great deal in myriads of other topics that have popped up. There's no point in reiterating the arguments against in this topic too.

HOW ABOUT we all get lives and we wont have to obsess over an online game that a very small fraction of the internet knows about? Whether you be 14 or 20 years old, you'll only have your youth this one time; it shouldn't be wasted on this.

I'm not saying this game is a waste of time, but it's a game, not real life war.

I realized this, and used money I was saving up for Afterwind on a present for my Mum instead. Sorry Afterwind, even though you taught me every bit of history and strategy I know, and taught me to be an intellectual, you also brought out the worst in me (Remember last year?), all over a stupid game. See you Starside guys, i'll only be on here very casually from now on.
