I have had a lot of trouble recently with launching the map editor and saving my maps. I have tried multiple browsers and but it's always the same thing. The game crashes when I try to edit. I don't understand why the developers decided to move everyone from the Silverlight to HTML 5 version if they weren't going to finish it. It's been like 5 years now. At the very least make it possible to play the non-broken Silverlight version so I can edit my maps and play without the game crashing.

Don't know what you're going on about. The editor works fine for me, I've never had a single saving issue and it's very much possible to use silverlight version. Proof saving works on current editor: Proof silverlight still works:

I can't say what the original developers decision making process was, since it was before I was around, but I imagine it had a little something to do with the fact that Microsoft discontinued Silverlight. Since then Google has dropped support for Silverlight in Chrome, Firefox did the same, and Microsoft dropped it in their Edge browser. So if it weren't for the transition to HTML5, atWar really would be dead by now. Over the last 4-5 months I've been here, Clovis and I have been working hard to fix many bugs. So if you're still experiencing problems, take a screenshot and open a bug report so we can do something about it.

Just to confirm, yes, it was the discontinuation of Silverlight support that lead to the decision to transfer.
